Our Gideon is coming along so nicely even in this wet cold weather thanks to the help of a very special lady. Sophie started riding Gideon the 2022 show season and really committed to making him the best western pleasure horse he could become. She was dedicated to getting him to lope on the correct lead, pivot with his front end, and overall shine in the show pen. When he came up lame she was one of the first riders to notice he was off. As we let him have his time off she faithfully brought him apples weekly and made sure he was happy. The minute she was able to help work him she was in the arena walking him around even if that’s the “boring” work. She didn’t mind the slow progress or the few set backs, she just wanted him to feel better. As we saw the Equivibe and his exercises making him stronger she was the first person we let ride him. Even if it was a few circles at the walk, Sophie rejoiced with Gideon and rewarded his hard work. Now she is able to comfortably go on trail rides at a walk with him. He even is excited to see her coming and will meet her at the gate ready for time with his girl. This past weekend she trotted lines and reported he had two very sound lines but decided to stop after the third just felt different. She doesn’t ever want to push him and is very in tune with his needs. When he comes out of this sound and happy he will have Equivibe and his best friend Sophie to thank for all of her love and support. We are so thankful that this pony has a girl to love him and give him the adoration he deserves!
