Back in the saddle
For those of you have have been following along on our Journey to soundness with Gideon we have amazing news! We had our spring shots checkups with the vet on 4/11. Gideon received a clean lameness exam meaning he is sound and ready to get back into action! He has since jumped back into regular lessons and has even done a bit of jumping. His first show of this season was a huge success as he helped his rider win ribbons in her first show ever. He will also be competing on our travel show team this summer. We can not be more pleased to have him back in the arena full time and we have to say he seems happy too. Of course he still gets weekly Vibe sessions plus extras anytime he needs it. We are so thankful to have the Equivibe to get him to this point. From completely lame and in pain in October 2023 to sound and back to work in April of 2024 without any shoes or medications is such a blessing. We have an amazing vet team with Tryon Equine Mobile who let us try a different approach, a kind farrier who let us explain the research we learned and worked with us to get the perfect barefoot trim, and the Equivibe that truly has saved his career. Even before his lameness we chose the show name Against All Odds for our little scrappy boy. It truly is so fitting now as he proves with time and the will to succeed you can accomplish big things.
